Pure Engineering Group Celebrates Sponsored Star

Hettie the Heart Visits Local Primary School
Pure Engineering Group's work to raise money for the Children's Heart Beat Trust has caught the eye of the local community. Past pupil, Lauren Travers, our Marketing and Communications Executive, received an invite alongside our Mascot, Hettie the Heart, to the local primary school, St Malachys Carnaget, Newry. Lauren and Hettie cheered on the pupils and staff as they competed in the "Restart a Heart Live CPR training in a Guinness World Record Attempt". All participants did exceptionally well! The pupils of St Malachys also contributed to helping raise funds as they each brought in £1 to be donated towards our Just Giving fund pot. The children loved learning vital life-saving skills while telling Hettie the Heart "what makes their heart happy". Answers like dinosaurs, flying unicorns and their mummies. But a reply to conclude the day was "What makes my heart happy is helping Pure Engineering Group raise money for Children's Heart Beat Trust".

Our First Fundraiser In Support of Children's Heartbeat Trust
Pure Engineering Group hosted their first-ever fundraiser, and for it to reach the scale it did was an absolute dream! The idea started with a simple conversation between Lauren Travers, Pure's Marketing and Communication Executive and our General Manager, Charlotte Magennis. Charlotte's little boy Archie was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition at just five months old. It was a long road for the family to get Archie through surgery and thankfully into full heath. The Children's Heart Beat Trust held their hand every step of the way, so Charlotte wanted to give back. Lauren suggested a fundraiser and within an hour from the conversation, the plan was set in motion, with a five-a-side football tournament, family fun day and quiz on Sunday 28th September. What a day and what a community we have! The day was ecstatic. The carpark and play area were full of families of all ages, with vendors, entertainment and stall holders available to a range of age groups. The areas surrounding the football pitches were crowded with players and supporters. As raffle tickets were being sold Hettie the Heart, our mascot was dancing with children, pictures were being snapped at our photobooth, quiz prizes were being set up for a display. Everything we hoped for, turned out just perfect on the day. We would like to say a massive thank you to all that contributed to the event, without you all it wouldn't have been possible.
