International Women’s Day Celebration Lunch at Killeavy Castle Estate

Pure Engineering Group was delighted to attend the Newry Chamber International Women’s Day Celebration Lunch, held at the stunning Killeavy Castle Estate.

Representing the company, Lauren and Rachel joined a sold-out event that brought together an inspiring group of women from across a wide range of industries. The afternoon provided a fantastic opportunity to connect, reflect, and celebrate the achievements and impact of women both locally and beyond.

The event featured a strong line-up of speakers and panel discussions. Representatives from Southern Regional College, Younique Aesthetics and KPMG shared valuable insights into the opportunities and progress being made by young women across different sectors. Local students also took to the stage, showcasing confidence and leadership well beyond their years.

Newry-born actor and writer Valene Kane delivered an inspiring talk, sharing her personal journey and highlighting the importance of growth, resilience, and embracing every stage of the process.

Additional speakers including Mairéad McParland, Edwina Flynn, Paula Maguire, Gemma Murphy and Jackie Reid also shared their experiences, reinforcing that success is rarely a straight path, but one shaped by determination and perseverance.

The afternoon was made all the more special by a live performance from Geraldine O’Doherty and Joanne Quigley, which added to the vibrant and uplifting atmosphere in the room.
