Pure Engineering Group’s project at Zaytoon in Dublin brings together air conditioning within the customer seating areas and extraction above the open kitchen. High-level cassette units sit beneath the exposed ceiling, while a stainless steel canopy extends over the cooking area behind the service counter.
The installation accommodates a restaurant layout combining booths, communal tables and window seating. Visible mechanical services sit alongside suspended lighting and architectural features, integrating practical building services into the restaurant’s distinctive interior.
The scope of works included:
Cassette Air Conditioning for the Dining Areas
Multiple cassette air conditioning units are positioned across the restaurant’s customer areas. Their four-way outlet arrangement allows air to be distributed around each unit, providing temperature control within the surrounding seating space.
The units sit above the occupied areas, leaving walls available for seating, signage and interior finishes. Their placement accommodates the restaurant’s mix of communal dining, booths and perimeter tables.
High-Level Installation and Service Coordination
The cassette units are suspended beneath the exposed ceiling, with associated pipework and supports visible above. This arrangement accommodates the equipment without relying on a continuous suspended ceiling.
The installation shares the overhead space with pendant lighting, cable containment and decorative features. Coordinating these elements is particularly relevant where the services remain visible and contribute to the finished appearance of the restaurant.
Extraction Above the Open Kitchen
A stainless steel extraction canopy runs above the open cooking area behind the service counter. Its overhead position provides a collection point for cooking fumes, steam and heat close to the equipment it serves.
With the kitchen visible from the dining space, the canopy forms part of the customer-facing interior. Its stainless steel finish complements the surrounding kitchen surfaces while providing a durable surface for routine cleaning.
