Timber Quay

The iconic Timber Quay building stands six stories tall, offering its unique mixed-use scheme throughout each floor. This provided Pure Engineering Group with a project to support Ulster University students.

With the installation of new high-tech learning spaces, our state-of-the-art ventilation package throughout three floors.

The scope of work included:

  • Under-floor supply fans
  • Hybrid VRF air conditioning system
  • Upgrade of the AHU
  • BMS installation

  • Under-floor supply fans are installed beneath the floor that gently distribute fresh, conditioned air into the space from below. This method improves comfort by reducing drafts and helping maintain a consistent indoor temperature.
  • Hybrid Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air conditioning system, uses a central outdoor unit to supply heating and cooling to multiple indoor areas.
  • Upgrade of the Air Handling Unit (AHU), Improvement works to the existing air handling unit, which is responsible for supplying and circulating fresh air throughout the building.
  • Building Management System (BMS) installation, a central control system that monitors and manages the building's mechanical and electrical services.
